Dharamshala: A case of death under suspicious circumstances has come to light under the police station Jawali. The deceased has been identified as Usha Devi wife Arjun Singh resident Kuthed. Due to the suspicious death of Usha, her family has registered a case anticipating murder, accusing her husband and in-laws of this suspected murder.
In a complaint to the police, Usha’s mother Guddi Devi wife Pratap Chand village Dodla said that her daughter Usha Devi was married to Arjun Singh village Kuther in 2013. After the marriage, her husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law started torturing her mentally and physically. Guddi Devi further elaborated that when she spoke to her daughter on the phone last evening, she told that she was doing cooking and also told that her husband had consumed liquor and closed the door of her room.
Shortly thereafter, Usha Devi’s father-in-law called them to informed that Usha Devi has hanged herself. She further reported to police that on reaching the spot ,they saw that Usha Devi had bruises on her head and body but there were no bruises on her neck, to raise doubt that Usha’s husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law had murdered her.
After the complaint, the police registered a caseuner section 302,34 IPC and started questioning the three accused and took the body and sent it to Tanda Medical College for postmortem. The incident has been confirmed in SP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan.
