Dehradun: Brandishing revolvers, dancing with a private security guards machine gun and an alcohol glass in hand to a Bollywood tune, Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion, a BJP MLA from Uttarakhand, who stands suspended from the party for indiscipline, has embarrassed the ruling party again with a video of a private party going viral on regular and social media platforms.

The party is said to have been held at the homecoming of the controversial leader after having undergone a leg operation.
BJP is not amused with the Khanpur MLAs behaviour. “The MLA has been put on notice and an explanation sought from his un-behoving behaviour as a public representative,” Ajay Bhatt, state BJP president said in Haridwar. “He has been given 10 days time to reply. If his explanation is not found satisfactory, he can be expelled from the party,” warned Bhatt.
Without disowning the video contents, Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion told ANI, “They are licensed weapons and not loaded. I’m not pointing towards anyone or threatening anyone. Whats the crime? This is a conspiracy. Is drinking alcohol and keeping licensed gun a crime.”

Anil Baluni, national BJP media incharge has condemned the MLAs behaviour. “Strict action will be taken against him,” said Baluni.
Earlier a video of Champion threatening to kill a journalist had gone viral a few months ago. The threatened journalist even did lodge a complaint against the legislator in Delhi.
BJP on June 22, suspended the offending MLA from the party for his unruly behaviour.
No stranger to controversies, Champion only recently got into a verbal duel with Jhabreda Deshraj Karnawal, another BJP MLA from the state, and even challenged him to a wresting bout to settle scores.
