Waknaghat (Solan): Induction program for freshers of Management, Pharmacy, Engineering, Hotel Management and other courses was organized at Bahra University, Waknaghat. Students, along with their parents were invited for the orientation program.
Dean students Welfare Dr. S.C.Sharma welcomed the students and their parents and congratulated them on entering the field of higher education.He assured them that every member of Bahra University would assist the students to help them achieve their goal, provided the students are sincere in their efforts.
Dr. S.K.Bansal, Vice Chancellor Bahra University welcomed the newcomers to the University, while wishing them success in their lives. Addressing them Dr. Bansal said that it is a memorable day in the life of a student when he enters a professional institute. The ultimate goal of education is the attainment of wisdom which can be fulfilled through hard work and discipline.
Dr.Bansal said that students either aspire for future placements. higher education or aim to be entrepreneurs and it is the duty of the University to prepare the students accordingly.
He said that the University strives to deliver quality education to students, for which seminars and workshops are organized at intervals. Students can interact with successful professionals of their fields within their University premises.
A placement cell has been set up within the campus for maximum industry exposure for the budding professionals.
Dr. Bansal said that on 9th august 1942, our freedom fighters took a pledge of ‘Quit India’ and 2017-2022 will witness a New India Movement. Everyone present in the Induction ceremony took a pledge to strive wholeheartedly to contribute in building a New India, an India which would be Clean, Poverty free, Corruption free, Terrorism free, Communalism free and Casteism free.
The program concluded with the National Anthem.
Dean Academics Dr. Angshu Banerjee, Controller Examination Dr. Sushil Chaudhary, Director Career Development Cell Ms. Katyayni shukla, Director General Administration Col.(Retd.) H.S.Chauhan, Heads of various departments, faculty and other staff were present during the ceremony.
