One Killed As Army Opens Fire In Beerwah, Kashmir

Srinagar:  A young man, in his early twenties, was killed after army allegedly opened fire in Beerwah town of Budgam district in central Kashmir’s earlier today.

Local sources have identified the victim as Tanveer Ahmad Wani, son of Mohammad Akbar Wani of Arwah village. He was critically injured after he was hit by a bullet in the head.

He was rushed to Primary Health Centre at Goripora where he succumbed to his injuries. He was in his early twenties and was a tailor

Sources said that a patrolling party of the army opened fire on youth who pelted them with stones in the town.

There are also reports that another young man by the name Mehrajuddin from Goripora village, has been injured in the firing incident.
