Dharamshsala: Today a meeting was organized between Shri B.B.L. Butail, Hon’ble Speaker, HP Vidhan Sabha and Shri Mukhtar Abas Naqvi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India regarding e-Vidhan model of HP Vidhan Sabha. This is the second meeting between them, earlier it was held on 22nd June, 2016 at Delhi.
Sh Butail requested the Union Minister regarding the matter for establishing National e-Vidhan Academy (NeVA) at Vidhan Sabha Bhawan, Tapovan (Dharamshala), Himachal Pradesh and rollout of e-Vidhan model of HP Vidhan Sabha in other States of India under Digital India Programme.
The press release issued by HP Vidhan Sabha in Dharamshala sais that during the said meeting, Shri Dharmesh Sharma, Director (IT) to Hon’ble Speaker presented the milestones achieved and current status of e-Vidhan System in Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
Shri Naqvi said , “ Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India has agreed in principle for establishing National Academy (NeVA) at Tapovan, (Dharamshala) for conducting training/seminars for the Hon’ble MPs/MLAs and officers from all over India as well as adopting the e-Vidhan model of H.P. Legislative Assembly.” He assured that he will look into the matter personally to speedup the process.
