Airtel, one of India’s largest mobile service provider, has launched 4G LTE services in Mandi town of Himachal Pradesh. Earlier in the first phase 4G services were launched in Baddi and Shimla.
The company claims to have already launched 4G services in 296 towns across India, since it started offering the data service in August 2015.
Customers will be able to use these services on dongles, 4G Hotspots, mobile phones and Wi-Fi dongles. And if a present Airtel customer wishes to avail these services, he will get a complimentary upgrade at no extra cost. Airtel had revamped its services, in order elevate the customer experience, through their Project Leap. They have also launched a microsite, which will enable customers to monitor the progress of this Project in their areas.
An Airtel customer just needs to walk in to their nearest Airtel retail touch point, and get his SIM upgraded to a 4G SIM.
