Shimla: Unable to resolve the stalemate over permitting a discussion into alleged money laundering charges against chief minister Virbhadra Singh, speaker Brij Bihari Butail, a little while ago, adjourned the house sine-die, as the opposition refused to participate without being permitted to debate the contentious issue.
The session was notified to hold 16 sessions but with the opposition not participating from day one (August 6), the house being prematurely shut down sine-die is unprecedented in the recent history of Himachal Pradesh.
