Shimla: Two persons including a woman burnt alive as devastating fire broke out, gutting two wooden buildings comprising of 12 rooms in a village which falls under Theog Subdivision of this district early this morning, rendering four household homeless in extreme weather, fire sources confirmed. 66 years old Hira Singh and his wife Rama Dai (60) of village-Shaleen, Postoffice-Shaddi of Theog sub-division of this district, today burnt alive in the fire broke out in three story wooden house at 0430 hrs this morning.
District Fire Officer D.D. Sharma told that one fire engine was pressed to douse down the inferno, took about six hour to control the flames. He said that fire caused estimated loss of properties worth Rs 15 lakh as fire gutted down three story house of three family of deceased sons, namely Lal Chand, Ramesh and Ami Chand. The fire broke out from a fire places spread inside the entire building from room in which deceased were sleeping. It reduced about eight rooms, two bath rooms and one Kitchen of first three victims with in short while to ashes including the entire belonging.
The survivor’s sons could only save some cattles after braving infernos. In line with the fire another single story house of victim, Rakesh was also came under the spat of flames as four rooms one each having a bathroom and Kitchen, rendering the fourth families homeless.
The fire tenders saved third house after controlling fire at 1230 hrs toady.
The local team of Administration comprising of SDM visited the spot and handed over the finical assistance to the victims family and also handed over the blankets and rations also make shift them to safer places, The fire officers recovered the charred body from the heap of embers.
