Chandigarh: The Haryana government yesterday announced a Rs.5 lakh reward for each of the six players from the state who were part of Indian team team that won a bronze medal in the junior women’s hockey World Cup in Germany.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced the reward for all six girls from Haryana who were part of the junior women hockey squad.
While five of the players hail from Shahbad, the sixth one is from Hisar. They are Navjot, Manjeet Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Rani Rampal, Monika and Poonam Rani.
Hooda congratulated the Indian team for winning country’s first bronze in the junior women’s hockey World Cup.
