New Delhi, July 2 (IANS) It was a hot morning in the capital Tuesday with the minimum temperature settling at 29 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average. The Met Office has forecast an overcast sky during the day.
“The skies will remain cloudy during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 37 degrees Celsius,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 69 percent.
Monday’s maximum temperature was 39.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, while the minimum settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
Monsoon arrived in Delhi a fortnight ahead of schedule June 16, but the city has not received much rainfall since then.
