Mumbai, July 3 (IANS) Actor Arjun Rampal was nervous when he took his wife Mehr to watch a preview of his forthcoming film “D-Day” because she is his “hugest” critic.
“D-Day” releases July 19.
“Going to watch ‘D-Day’ with my hugest critic … my wife! The most nerve-wracking feeling before release. Wish me luck (that) she likes it,” Arjun tweeted Wednesday.
Arjun and Mehr married in 1998, and together they raise two daughters – Mahikaa and Myra.
In “D-Day”, a crime thriller, Arjun essays the character of Rudra Pratap Singh, an ex-officer of the Indian armed forces MARCOS unit. Co-produced by DAR Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the movie also stars Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan, Shruti Haasan, Huma Qureshi, Akash Dahiya, Sree Swara and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

B’day wishes from Asha Bhosle to Amit Kumar
Asha Bhosle, one of the closest colleagues of late singer Kishore Kumar, has wished the late artist’s son Amit Kumar a happy birthday.
“Birthday Greetings to Amit Kumar Ganguly. Carried him in my arms when he was a baby. Remember Kishoreda’s happiness at that time,” tweeted Asha.
Amit, also a singer, turned 61 Wednesday.
Together, Kishore Kumar and Asha had sung evergreen songs like “Haal kaisa hai janaab ka”, “Lekar hum deewana dil” and “Ek main aur ek tu”.

‘Chennai Express’ tunes homage to Tamil music: Vishal Dadlani
Composer Vishal Dadlani of the popular Vishal-Shekhar duo says the music of “Chennai Express” is their homage to Tamil music.
“So glad my south Indian friends are feeling the ‘Chennai Express’ music! It’s a genuine homage to Tamil music we’ve heard/loved down the years,” Vishal posted on Twitter.
“Chennai Express”, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has some entertaining tracks like “Ready steady po” and “One two three four”. The movie releases Aug 8.
