Damascus, June 11 (IANS) As many as 35 rebels were killed by the Syrian troops’ ambush Monday in a suburb of the capital Damascus.
The rebels were ambushed at the Baharieh orchards in eastern Ghouta suburb, the report said, adding that various weapons were also seized, reported Xinhua citing state media.
The army also clashed with rebels in the Damascus’ suburbs of Douma, Hajjira and Jeroud.
In the northern province of Aleppo, the state media said the army repelled an attack on the Minnegh airbase and the central prison.
