Kolkata, June 11 (IANS) Software giant Microsoft India Tuesday announced its partnership with city-based JIS Group for setting up its innovation centre here.
This is Microsoft’s first and only tie-up in the country’s eastern region.
The innovation centre will allow students access to the software firm’s laboratory facilities.
Raj Katari, director, Geo Expansion of MicrosoftIndia, said the programme, christened Ed-Vantage, would make the students industry-ready.
The software giant has partnership with 10 other educational institutions across the country and about 8,000 students are enrolled in the programme.
