Jerusalem, June 6 (IANS) Hosts Israel and Norway drew 2-2 in the opening match of the 2014 UEFA U-21 championship tournament here.
In the 16th minute Wednesday, Israel captain Nir Biton scored their first U-21 final tournament goal through a penalty kick, reports Xinhua.
The lead did not last long though as eight minutes later, Marcus Pedersen scored to level the score.
After the breather, Alon Turgeman gave the hosts the lead again with 19 minutes remaining. However, the hopes of the home crowd of a first win were dashed by Harmet Singh from Norway who scored the dramatic goal in the added time.
