Shimla: In a freak accident, a man lost his life when he was hit by a train near here as he had his earphones on and couldn’t hear an approaching train, police said today.
Sanjay Sharma, 20, was killed near Shogi, some 10 km from Shimla, when he was run over by a train on the Shimla-Kalka heritage rail line yesterday evening, a police officer told.
Sharma, while returning home from Industrial Training Institute, was listening to music and didn’t hear the approaching train, police said.
