Beijing, June 3 (IANS) China’s non-manufacturing sector shrank slightly in May, according to new data released Monday.
The purchasing managers index (PMI) for the non-manufacturing sector stood at 54.3 percent in April, down from 54.5 percent for the previous month, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
A PMI reading above 50 percent indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 percent indicates contraction, reported Xinhua.
