Madrid, June 4 (IANS) Brazilian sensation Neymar signed with Spanish La Liga powerhouse Barcelona for five years in a deal worth 57 million euros.
Neymar, 21, became the eighth most expensive signing in football history Monday. His contract also includes a buyout clause worth 190 million euros, reports Xinhua.
Neymar helped Brazilian club Santos win the 2010 Brazilian Cup, the 2011 Copa Libertadores and three straight Sao Paulo state championships, becoming the team’s leading scorer in the post-Pele era with 138 goals in 230 matches.
