Any insult hurtful: Helena Bonham on style critics

London, June 5 (IANS) Actress Helena Bonham Carter gets upset when she reads negative comments about her personal style because she loves dressing up so much.

She admitted that she takes it personally when she reads hurtful comments about her gothic-inspired style.

“I’m not indelibly confident. I love clothes and I love dressing-up, and I love the way that it makes me feel. So I’m always disillusioned when I see a photo of myself, which I try not to, because I think, ‘No That’s not what I meant at all’,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Carter as saying.

“Any insult is hurtful, though, because you always think you look OK. Otherwise you wouldn’t leave the house looking like you do, would you?,” she said.

The 47-year-old usually wears her favourite designer Vivienne Westwood. She was outraged when she dabbled with the idea of wearing a different label to the Oscars in February, only to be told that another actress had bought the rights.

“Have you heard of anything so ridiculous? Ultimately, I don’t give a ****. Because I’m still going to get another job, aren’t I,” she added.
