Shimla: The hills of Himachal Pradesh were warm Sunday with Una recording a maximum temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius and state capital Shimla a high of 29.1 degrees Celsius, the weatherman said.
“The maximum temperatures across the state increased by one to two degrees since Saturday mainly due to dry weather,” the meteorological office here said in a statement.
It said Shimla’s maximum temperature was 6.5 notches above what is the average for this time of the season.
Dharamsala recorded a high of 32.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature in Manali was 29.2 degrees Celsius and Kalpa in Kinnaur district was 25 degrees Celsius.
The Met department said the weather would largely remain dry Monday.
