Mumbai, May 21 (IANS) Music composer-singer Shankar Mahadevan recorded the title track of the upcoming television series “Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap”. He is thankful that he got an opportunity to sing a song about such a big hero.
“Everybody knows that Maharana Pratap was a brave personality, who made our country proud. The song is about him, his braveness,” said Mahadevan who recorded the song Monday here.
“There is a lot of braveness in the song. It’s about his work and his fight,” he said, adding that the song is about how he became Maharana Pratap.
“I am very, very thankful that I got an opportunity to sing this song because very rarely you get a chance to sing about these big heroes, who you read about in history books or have heard (about) in stories,” he said.
“Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap” is a historical drama inspired by the life and times of Maharana Pratap. Faisal Khan, the winner of dance reality show “Dance India Dance”, will be seen playing the lead role of Maharana Pratap.
The series is set to go on air May 27 on Sony TV.
