Real Madrid cement second place in La Liga

Madrid, May 5 (IANS) Real Madrid opened an eight-point gap to third place Atletico Madrid with a narrow 4-3 victory over Valladolid in the Spanish Primera Liga.

Barcelona, who play Real Betis Sunday, sit pretty on the top of the standings with 85 points and have already bagged the La Liga title.
