Bhubaneswar, May 9 (IANS) A bear Thursday mauled an elderly man to death and injured seven others in Odisha’s Balasore district, an official said.
The bear, who is believed to come from the nearby forest, attacked the people in Radhaballavpur village, 200 km from Bhubaneswar, a district forest official told IANS.
Efforts were underway to capture the beast, he said.
This was the third incidents of attack by wild bear on humans in the state in less than a week.
