National Hockey: Big win for Namdhari, Railways

Pune: One-sided matches continued to be the trend as fancied teams won their respective outings comfortably in the third Hockey India senior men’s National Championship here Wednesday.

Among the winners were Namdhari XI who crushed Jammu and Kashmir 10-1 and Railway Sports Control Board who hammered Sashastra Seema Bal 13-1.

The results:

Pimpri Chinchwad Ground: Group B: Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy 5 beat Chhattisgarh Hockey 1.

Group B: Hockey Puducherry 7 beat Tripura Hockey 5.

Group D: Hockey Haryana 5 beat Mumbai Hockey Association 3; Uttar Pradesh Hockey 3 beat Maharashtra 0.

Balewadi Ground: Group F: Namdhari XI 10 beat Hockey Jammu & Kashmir 1.

Group F: Railway Sports Promotion Board 13 beat Sashastra Seema Bal 1.

Group H: Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 8 beat Hockey Assam 2.
