Mumbai, May 2 (IANS) Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Meera, who is making her Bollywood debut with Satish Kaushik’s directorial venture “Gang Of Ghosts”, says she idolises her star cousin, but doesn’t need tips from her.
National Award-winning actress Priyanka made her debut in Bollywood with the 2003 film “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy” after winning the Miss World crown in 2000. In 2011, her cousin Parineeti entered the showbiz with “Ladies vs Ricky Bahl”.
“I would not take any tips from Priyanka because I myself have been working in the south for the last three years. I have done 20 movies in the south and I personally feel I am a very good actress. So I would not take any acting tips,” said the actress here at the mahurat of the film.
Meera, who made her debut with Tamil film “Anbe Aaruyire” in 2007, however, idolises Priyanka for her “hard work and dedication”.
“Not only our family, everybody who is not from the industry, who is a newcomer, should look up to her because when she came into the industry, she was completely new with no background,” she said.
“Whatever she is today is because of her hard work and dedication,” she added.
Anupam Kher and Mahie Gill will also be seen in prominent roles in “Gang Of Ghosts”.
