Libya’s parliament speaker resigns

Tripoli, May 28 (IANS) Speaker of Libya’s General National Congress Mohammed al-Maqrif announced resignation in a speech in the parliament Tuesday, Xinhua reported quoting state-run Libyan news agency.

Maqrif was elected as the speaker of Libya’s national assembly Aug 9, 2012 after securing 113 votes of the total 200.
