Mumbai, May 16 (IANS) Unlike her big sister Tanushree Dutta, Ishita decided to enter showbiz through television show “Ek Ghar Banaunga”. The newcomer says that even though she makes her own decision, she considers herself lucky to have a guiding force in her elder sister.
“Everything that I do, I ask her for advice. She has been in the industry for a while and she is my elder sister,” Ishita told IANS.
A former beauty queen, Tanushree started her acting career with 2006 film “Aashiq Banaya Apne” and later featured in films like “Bhagam Bhag”, “Dhol” and “Speed”.
Does having a sister in the industry help?
“It helps in the way that she is always there to guide me. Certain places where other people may go wrong, I wouldn’t. But other than this, I feel industry is open to all newcomers. Everyone gets an equal chance. Even I auditioned for the character, they choose you only if you fit the role,” she said.
Of course, Ishita would “love to work with her sister”. “It would be fun for both of us to work together,” she added.
“Ek Ghar Banaunga” is a tea-time show and comes at 6:30 p.m. on Star Plus.
“This is something that the channel decided. The time is actually convenient for many people. At this hour no other channel has a proper show. For me, the timing did not matter, I was happy to do a show with Star Plus,” said Ishita who is enjoying her first experience on TV.
She is not worried about the future and said: “I am doing this show, I haven’t even thought about tomorrow. Right now I want people to watch our show.”
