Milan, May 6 (IANS) AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri insists that he hoped to stay at the club but the final word rests with owner Silvio Berlusconi.
Allegri has been the focus of speculation about his destination of next season, reports Xinhua.
“I hope to remain at Milan but it depends on president Berlusconi. He has the final word. I have always had a good rapport with the president regardless of what the newspapers said. He always put his faith in me independently from some viewpoints we do not share. If they send me away, then that’s another matter,” Allegri said Sunday.
“I have a clear idea on what I want to do next season but what really irritated me was this collection of reports on things that do not exist. It shows lack of respect for the other coaches. I haven’t signed a three-year contract with Roma. I am an honest person and if I’d been in talks with other clubs, I certainly would’ve alerted by employers.”
