Milan, April 22 (IANS) Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni claimed that his side’s hard-fought win over Parma will “mean a lot during this emergency period” for the Milan side.
The Nerazzurri had lost three home games in a row before Tommaso Rocchi’s late scuffed shot secured the 1-0 win at home Sunday, reports Xinhua.
“This win means a lot during this emergency period that we’re in,” Stramaccioni was quoted by the official Inter website as saying.
“It’s something the lads showed to everyone and to our president, who always gives us a boost. It was also for the fans, who are always there for us.
“I think Inter played a strong first half. We knew we would pay for it a bit after half-time, while Parma were able to send on fresh legs. But we managed to get the result,” he said.
