London, April 4 (IANS/EFE) Set for release April 23, Carlos Vives’ next album features a duet with Brazil’s Michel Telo.
“Corazon profundo”, Vives’ 14th studio disc, “is made with all that which has been left clinging to my heart”, the Colombian artist said.
The new effort bears the hallmarks of Vives’ music: positive messages wrapped in tradition-tinged tropical pop.
“Corazon profundo” comes four years after “Clasicos de la provincia II”, itself an evocation of “Clasicos de la provincia”, the 1993 album that made Vives an international star and Colombia’s first musical artist with seven-figure sales.
Vives, who has sold more than 14 million albums, was also the first Colombian to win a Grammy.
