Houston, April 11 (IANS) At least two people were killed and many injured when a chartered bus carrying elderly people crashed Thursday in the US state of Texas, reported Xinhua quoting US media.
The bus were transporting the elderly people to a casino in Oklahoma when it swerved off the northbound lanes of President George Bush Turnpike near Dallas, Texas, hit a concrete barrier and flipped, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Media reports gave different accounts of people aboard the bus. Newspaper The Houston Chronicle said there were about 30 people on the bus, but NBC 5 quoted Irving Fire Department officials as reporting that 45 people were on the passenger list.
