London, April 10 (IANS) Two people have died in a crash involving their car and a train at a rail-road crossing in Britain, BBC reported Wednesday.
The driver and passenger of the car died at Great Coates in North East Lincolnshire Tuesday evening.
Police said no train passengers were hurt and the train was not derailed.
The train was travelling at about 100 km per hour when the crash happened.
Lyndsey Downes, a woman who lives nearby, said she and her husband heard “an extremely loud bang”. “We saw some sort of debris flying past the window and the train screeching to a halt,” she said.
