New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) Three women have been rescued from the capital’s infamous red light district after a raid, police said Wednesday.
“Two women, aged 22 and 25, from Andhra Pradesh and another 23-year-old woman from Karnataka were rescued from brothel No.42 at G.B. Road late Tuesday,” a police officer told IANS.
Police said some people lured the women to G.B Road in central Delhi 10 months ago on the pretext of providing them jobs.
Raids are being conducted to nab the culprits, while the victims have been sent to a rehabilitation centre in the city, the officer said.
