New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) The revision of Delhi Metro fares has been delayed as the government is yet to form a panel to set up a Fare Fixation Committee (FFC), Delhi Metro Chief Mangu Singh said Wednesday.
“We have requested the government to set up a fourth Fare Fixation Committee. It has not been constituted so far. We have been waiting for a long time,” Singh said.
The committee has to be appointed by the ministry of urban development.
Delhi Metro last increased its fares in November 2009. The minimum fare was increased from Rs.6 to Rs.8. The maximum fare went up to Rs.30 from Rs.22.
