The Hague, April 14 (IANS) Ethiopian Tilahun Regassa and Kenyan Jemina Jalagat won the men’s and the women’s titles, respectively, at the 33rd edition of the Rotterdam Marathon Sunday.
Regassa finished the race in 2:05.38 and his compatriot Getu Feleke ended second (2:06:46). Sammy Kitwara from Kenya was third (2:07:22), reports Xinhua.
Last year the men’s title was also won by an Ethiopian athlete, Yemane Adhane in 2:04:48.
Jalagat claimed the women’s title in 2:23:27. She finished ahead of Abefech Afework from Ethiopia (2:23:59) and Hilda Kibet from the Netherlands (2:26:42).
