New Delhi, April 22 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday expressed his condolences on the death of Justice J.S. Verma, describing him “a man of vast understanding and knowledge of law”.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister’s Office posted: “He was respected for his pathbreaking judgements, his deep sensitivity to the concerns of the common man and commitment to public good.”
“I will miss him very much for his generous advice and guidance on matters of public importance.”
Justice Verma died at the Gurgaon Medanta of liver failure and stomach bleeding. He was 80.
