Parliamentarians pay tribute to Jagjivan Ram

New Delhi, April 5 (IANS) Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who is leader of house in Lok Sabha, and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj Friday paid floral tributes to Jagjivan Ram on his 105th birth anniversary.

Meira Kumar is the daughter of Jagjivan Ram, a freedom fighter and former deputy prime minister of India.

Others who paid tributes to Jagjivan Ram included Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Kumari Selja, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister K.H. Muniyappa, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions V. Narayanasamy, and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla, besides a large number of sitting and former MPs and family members of Jagjivan Ram.
