New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) A 25-year-old man was arrested from Uttar Pradesh for raping a woman who worked in a bar in Gurgaon adjoining the national capital, Delhi Police said Wednesday.
“Nausheen was arrested from Bulandshahr. We are conducting raids to nab his two associates,” Additional Commissioner of police Ajay Chaudhary told IANS.
On March 30 night, the three men, pretending to be cab drivers, abducted two sisters from Sahara Mall in Gurgaon on the pretext of dropping them home and gang-raped one of the women at a flat in Sarita Vihar in south Delhi, police said.
Sources said that the arrested accused revealed that the flat belonged to a Delhi Police constable.
Chaudhary said they were verifying the involvement of the policeman.
The victim, a resident of Munirka, was dropped near her home after she was raped by the three men, police said.
In her complaint, she claimed that she was sexually assaulted and beaten up by the men inside the flat when she resisted, police said.
