Bhubaneswar, April 27 (IANS) Well-known Odia film star Anubhav Mohanty Saturday joined Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal, the party said.
He joined the party in a simple function at Naveen Niwas, the official residence of the chief minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik. The development will help the party, Patnaik told reporters.
Thirty-one-year-old Mohanty is one of the most popular Odia film stars. He made his first film debut with “I Love You” in 2004. “I will serve the society through politics,” the film star said.
