New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) Actress Amrapali Gupta, who has replaced Nisha Nagpal as Tanveer in TV show “Qubool Hai”, says her character may not be to everyone’s liking, but that’s where she sees the challenge for herself.
Tanveer is the third wheel in the budding romance of the show’s lead pair Zoya and Asad.
“I know that my character probably isn’t every fan’s favourite, given her role as a spoke between Asad and Zoya, but that is what makes the role more interesting. I have never been one to choose the easy path. I only hope my fans like my work as Tanveer as well,” Amrapali said in a statement.
Amrapali has earlier been part of shows like “Pyaar Ke Do Naam – Ek Radha Ek Shyam”, “Vaidehi” and “Teen Bahuraniyaan”.
The actress replaced Nisha as the latter is battling certain health issues, which do not permit her to shoot for long hours.
In a mutual agreement with the production house, Nisha stepped out of the show to be replaced by Amrapali.
Nisha is confident Amrapali will do well.
“Everything happened really fast. I never dreamt of falling ill owing to a stomach infection and then undergoing an operation. My health was important for me and since I had to take a week’s rest, I opted out of the show. I have seen Amrapali’s work and she is a very good actress. I am sure she will do a good job on screen,” said Nisha.
“Qubool Hai” airs on Zee TV. The upcoming track in the show will also see the entry of veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, who will play an immigration officer who has an impressive record of deporting wayward visitors to the country.
