Los Angeles, April 4 (IANS) After three consecutive losses, Los Angeles Clippers swept the Phoenix Suns 126-101 at Staples Center for their record 50th win in a NBA season.
This is Clippers’ first time to win 50 games in a regular season since the franchise was founded.
DeAndre Jordan scored 20 points with 12 rebounds Wednesday, Chris Paul had 14 points and 12 assists, Willie Green and Caron Butler had 15 points each, and Blake Griffin added nine points, seven assists and five rebounds, Xinhua reported.
Wesley Johnson led the Suns with 20 points, Jermaine O’Neal added 18, Dragic didn’t score in the first half but finished with 12 points.
With 8:57 minutes left in the game, the Clippers’ Ryan Hollins put his left arm around Dragic’s neck and shoved him, the Sun’s Michael Beasley shouted at Hollins as tempers flared on both sides. After the referees reviewed the play, Hollins was called for a flagrant foul and ejected, Beasley received a technical foul, and he was also ejected later.
