Nagaon (Assam), April 6 (IANS) Jharkhand girls will face Odisha in the final of the third Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championship (East Zone) here April 8.
Jharkhand defeated Bengal in the first semifinal Saturday. Pramila Soreng scored the maximum number of goals, three, for Jharkhand followed by Nisha Rani (2), Betan Dung Dung (2), Ebha Kerketta (1) and Divya Dung Dung (1).
Odisha beat Assam 6-0 in the second semifinal. Anjlina Minz and Elima Minz scored twice each while Manju Lakra and Asmita Barla contributed one goal each in Odisha’s victory.
Semifinal results: Jharkhand 9 (Pramila Soreng 6, 40, 52, Ebha Kerketta 20, Nisha Rani 24, 42, Betan Dung Dung 26, 29, Divya Dung Dung 54) beat Bengal 0.
Odisha 6 (Anjlina Minz 34, 40, Manju Lakra 56, Elima Minz 57, 62 and Asmita Barla 60) beat Assam 0.
