Jakarta, April 12 (IANS) Indonesian World Boxing Association’s (WBA) super feather class defending champion Chris John is scheduled to defend his title in a fight against Japanese contender Satosho Hosono Sunday.
The upcoming fight would be Chris’ 18th defending his title after quite a very long time of holding it. Speaking to the media Thursday, the Indonesian boxer dubbed as “the Dragon” said that he was aware on his opponent’s fighting records, reports Xinhua.
“He has excellent short jabs. He is not an average boxer. He is now one of ten best boxers in Japan. Being in ten best boxers in WBA has proved his boxing performance,” Chris said on the sidelines of his rehearsal.
Satoshi Hosono has a fighting record of 23 wins, in which 17 of them were a Knock Out (KO), and has been defeated only twice.
