Mexico City, April 11 (IANS) A branch of FIND Foundation, set up by noted Indologist Alain Danielou to promote in the East and West awareness about philosophy, music, religion, sciences and the arts, has been inaugurated in Mexico City at an event attended by Indian Ambassador Sujan R. Chinoy.
Chinoy, accompanied by director of the Gurudev Tagore Indian Cultural Centre in Mexico N. Balasubramaniyan, attended the launch event recently at Casa Lamm in Mexico.
The foundation aims to promote the work of the organisation in Mexico, as well as the research and works of Danielou, said a statement Thursday.
Ambassador Chinoy delivered the introductory remarks at the event, which was also attend by Jaime Nualart, the Mexican Ambassador to India.
One of the highlights of the event was a sitar recital by Argaez Hollving to the accompaniment of tabla by Ilyas Khan, both teachers at the Gurudev Tagore Indian Cultural Centre.
