New Delhi, April 7 (IANS) A 35-year-old fruit vendor was crushed to death by a private water tanker here Sunday morning, police said.
Netrapal accidentally fell on road and came under the wheels of the tanker around 6.30 a.m. in Devli village of south Delhi.
Tanker driver Kuldeep, 18, was arrested for rash and negligent driving, police said.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a telephone booth close to a spot where some people were standing to collect water, police said.
“The victim accidentally fell on road and came under the front wheel of the water tanker,” a police officer said.
