Budapest, April 28 (IANS) Judokas from France claimed two titles at the 2013 Judo European Championships here.
French Teddy Riner beat Adam Okruashvili of Georgia to win the men’s 100+kg contest, while the trophy of women’s 78kg was taken by another French Lucie Louette, Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Kirill Denisov of Russia subdued Varlam Liparteliani of Georgia to win the men’s 90kg, with the third place going to Karolis Bauza of Lithuania and Kirill Voprosov of Russia.
Lukas Krpalek of the Czech Republic took first place in the men’s 100kg contest, beating Henk Grol of the Netherlands. Jevgenijs Borodavko of Latvia and Cyrille Maret of France were third.
In the women’s 78+ category, Lucija Polavder of Slovenia won over Emilie Andeol of France. Belkis Zehra Kaya of Turkey and Iryna Kindzerska of Ukraine were third.
