New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) As many as 30 officials from 19 countries are attending a course on emerging poll challenges at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) of the Election Commission of India, officials said Friday.
According to a statement, the two-week training programme (from April 10 to 23) has been designed for mid-career election officials of India’s technical cooperation partner countries.
The course has been organised with support from external affairs ministry.
The participating countries are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Cambodia, Gambia, Ghana, Lebanon, Lithuania, Palestine, Peru, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago and Uzbekistan.
