New Delhi, April 11 (IANS) Five people were arrested here Thursday for robbing auto-rickshaw passengers by offering them lift, police said.
“Gulshan, Monu, Rahul, Shahrukh and Nitin Kashyap were arrested from Kashmere Gate area in north Delhi in the morning. The auto-rickshaw which was used in the robberies was also seized,” said an officer.
On April 9, they robbed a passenger who hired an auto-rickshaw near Kashmiri Gate Metro Station to his house at Khajuri Khas area in east Delhi.
Gulshan, the kingpin of the gang, was previously arrested in seven cases of murder, robbery, abduction and others, police said.
