Ghaziabad, April 11 (IANS) In a case of suspected suicide, a Delhi Police head constable was found dead with four bullet injuries in his house in Ghaziabad early Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Police said.

The body of Ajit Singh Balyan, 36, posted at east Delhi’s Shakarpur police station, was found in his room by his wife Raj Bala Balyan around 3 a.m., police said.

Police said they registered a suicide case on the complaint of the police official’s wife who claimed her husband killed himself using his official weapon.

“It is a case of suicide…but we would keep all angles in mind during investigation,” said Superintendent of Police (City) Shiv Shankar Yadav.

Balyan was hit by one bullet in the chest and three in the abdomen, police said.

His wife claimed that at the time of incident she was sleeping with her two children in the room next to that of her husband, police said.
