Following the arrest of two contract killers, Sunil Mann alias Sonu and Purushottam Rana alias Monu, police claimed getting clues about the suspected involvement of the spiritual leader with whom Bhardwaj is believed to be involved in a land dispute.

The over 30 acre plot of land is situated in Haryana’s Jhajjar area.

Bhardwaj was gunned down by Mann and Rana at his 35-acre farmhouse in Rajokri in south Delhi.

The separate teams of Delhi Police crime branch and south district visited Dhansa village close to the road linking Jhajjar and Delhi and collected evidence. They also questioned a few associates of the spiritual guru.

In 2002, Bhardwaj purchased 12 acres of land near the ancestral land of Pratimanand’s guru late Baba Kakanand.
