Lucknow, April 3 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Wednesday asked the Uttar Pradesh unit to strengthen the party in the state and fight graft.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the two-day state conclave at Chitrakoot, over 200 km from here, Advani said at one point Uttar Pradesh sent the maximum number of BJP MPs.
Referring to the Ram Janma Bhoomi movement, he said it had helped the party greatly.
Seeking support from party workers to take on graft, the leader detailed the early days of the organisation and the journey of coming to power at the centre.
